Are yet another fellow Texan?

I had a bottle of the Baby Blue when they first started distilling about six or seven years ago. The stuff was absolutely horrible. And yet the Balcones name keeps coming up more and more lately. I don't know if people are hopping on board for the Texas nostalgia or if they've actually improved their product, but I have a hard time believing the latter.

Baby Blue isn't my favorite Balcones product (it's on the sweet side), although I didn't have any of the early batches, but it's not like the accolades are coming from random miscreants.

Don't be a hipster, Arch Duke. The Scots and Irish have both been as flakey as anyone on the spelling over the past few centuries and neither holds the right nor themselves to either spelling.

Sweet? The stuff was rancid when I tried it. Don't remember anything sweet about it. But to be fair, I understand the early batches weren't even made on site. If I remember right, they were contracted out until their own in-house batches aged. Maybe I need to give it another try.

I bought a bottle of Rumble once and didn't really like it. I do like that they're doing it all by hand and all in Texas, unlike other "Texas distilleries" *cough* tito's *cough*.
I'm also a big fan of Garrison Brothers. That stuff's delicious.

Wow, Dallas looks worse than Detroit.

I mean Detroit today.

Most of the stuff in the movie is gone now. The power plant where peter weller got his ass beat was torn down to build the arena. The gas station that got blown up was finally torn down and it's now just a parking lot for a fancy new art district.

Still doesn't mean that Texas can into Whiskey.

I think you need to try some. Come to a race at COTA. I've got a bottle of GB at my desk at all times :)

If I ever make it down there, I'll be sure to take you up on that offer, and I'll bring some real Kentucky Bourbon to rinse that taste out of my mouth.

I've got plenty of Kentucky in stock too.
